To save on gas, in addition to using this site and contributing, like others, I plan my errands in one day and go to places that are close by each other. Also, when I travel on the highway, I don't speed like I used to and, if possible, get behind a truck at a safe distance to benefit from its draft. On a recent long trip, I used my cruise control and, since I have a standard, let gravity take over on down hills by taking my foot off the gas. It's a lot of effort, but it has been working. Oh, and the standard upkeep (oil change, check air in tires, etc.)

Hey, hey, I just got a new car today that is so fuel-efficient, that rather than burning fuel, it produces free fuel. In fact, you have to help yourself and others save on fuel, to even own one. Unlimited miles/zero gallons! It's a little golden brown 2-door. Perhaps you've seen them around.

I try to save on gas by planning my shopping, grocery shopping and short errands for one day, usually Saturday. That way, I'm not making a bunch of small trips to town all week, I'm just doing it all on one day so I'm not going back and forth wasting expensive gas.
