I purchased a HTC Evo and was able to download gasbuddy app.

I'd enjoy having a smart phone with Android and the gasbuddy app, but I really can't justify the extra $30 a month I would be paying to have a smart phone. (My phone is a semi smart phone, as it does have internet access, but...) I'd much rather use my PC for the Internet stuff anyway, and the last thing I need is more ways to spend even more time online when I'm not near my PC.

For gathering prices, a voice recording device such as a cellular or micro cassette, etc. is far more efficient, easier, and most importantly safer, as you don't have to take your eyes off of the road.

For posting prices, you can't be a PC with a real keyboard, and all your favorites lists, etc.
