Jeb Bush stated, when he signed this bill, that he was not crazy about it as he fears we will never notice the 8 cent cut. Considering the legislature first considered giving us a larger cut, then chose this, I think it was all a move so they could say they TRIED to help us out. What else is new?

Maybe Gov. Bush thought that people wouldn't notice an 8 cent per gallon gas tax break, when he signed the bill. However, I think that people will definately notice it with as high as the gas prices are now.

I am just glad that I don't drive a big truck. I work at a Shell gas station/convenience store, and I see some of these trucks have to pay $60 -$70 and more for a tank of gas. That is crazy. I think those people will definately notice an 8 cent per gallon tax break.

Looking at the fuel taxes in Florida, It really IRKS me that as far as taxes goes, Florida charges more that just about any other state for diesel.

My husband drives a semi and besides paying taxes at the pump, they have to pay quarterly fuel taxes on top of that by how many miles they drive in each state. Seems to me that our very own state has quite a nice little cash cow yet they can only afford an 8 cent tax break for one month?

Well, instead of it just being in August, we should get a tax cut due to the increase in gas prices.. It's more to get gas now than it has ever been and we still pay more in taxes. Instead of "trying" to help us out they JUST SHOULD!
