Trouble is, there are many different fuel models that are currently unsupported (biodiesel, E85, kerosene, propane, ...), and each of them is a pretty small niche. I would guess that GasBuddy isn't likely to start supporting them unless they become widespread. In the meantime, my suggestion can be applied to whichever ones are common in your area.

Great suggestion, kwzh. That seems like it's not worth all the effort to do all that. There is another website that'd dedicated to E85 prices nationwide. It's easier just to go there when I'm curious. Ideally, I'd prefer not having to leave this site to check E85 prices at another. It seems to me the webmasters would want the same thing because it increases the chances that I'll stay here and click on advertisements.

Instead of posting it in the comments (where it will be overwritten if the next spotter doesn't follow the same convention), look for an E85 thread in your local forum, and create it if it's not already there. Use the top post to explain that it's for posting the current price of E85 stations -- do *not* post the first example there; if you have an E85 price already at hand, then post that as an immediate follow-up message instead.
Members who are interested in finding E85 should quickly learn that they can put that thread into their Favorite Topics Lists, or bookmark it directly in their browsers.

I requested this yesterday to GasBuddy. I always post the E85 under comments, but there's no way to do a search.

Being able to add additional fuel types and grades would be usefull in ALL areas. The locals could sort out which ones they need.

Sounds like this might be more helpful in certain regions than others??

I don't use E85.
No I wasn't forced to click on your link judgekac. That still doesn't address the reality that it has nothing to do with this topic.

hnofer17 - E85 is an available station feature on Gas Buddy. I've never tried to search by station feature (like car wash, convenience store, etc.), but if that's possible you'd be able to find stations using that method.
The GPS in my vehicle has E85 as a search feature, which makes sense since it's a FFV. It's pretty accurate as I've only gone to one station since using it that didn't have E85.

I agree that E85 along with Biodiesel should be added to the price lists. It would also be helpful if you could search and sort by these items.
Also, please don't post stuff like that those links. I've also reported you as its irrelevant to this discussion and just plain rude.

timelord, what is E85 selling for in St Louis. It would have to be alot cheaper to pay to buy it. I don't know of anyplace in Maryland where it is sold (and hope it stays away from here).

That and MPG comparisons would be nice. I usually get 18MPG with E85 and 22MPG on gas. Somewhere to enter 1-3 vehicle ratios to easily see at a glance if E85 is worth buying would be cool too.

AWESOME?
(AWESOME? Not just 'awesome'?)
The only problem is, what else should be included just because some people think it would be awesome. That is, maybe a poll question should be what something to the effect of "what fuels should Gas Buddy include for price posting? The problem (to me, at least, is that many of the people suggesting Gas Buddy include this or that, don't get around to posting gas prices as is, so how can we expect they'll post for more limited fuels?

I second that motion to have E85 listed. We have a dozen or so E85 stations in the general St. Louis area. So being able to compare them against standard gas would be a great thing. I just read a report from edmunds on E85. They knew E85 got worse milage but did not realise it was almost 27% worse. That being said I don't think E85 is a money saver just an alternative fuel.
