Wesley Clark promotes E15

"Every barrel of ethanol produced is a barrel of imported oil we can avoid," he said. "A barrel of oil is over $100 and that's money sucked right out of the American pocketbook".

When asked if consumers will make the shift to higher ethanol blends, Clark was positive.

"It's coming, and it's coming real soon with the price of gas where it is."

This is old news. I heard Clark speak 3 years at a POET meeting. His success has been limited. Not sure he's been a good choice.

I have seen him speak before. He is a great speaker. Just because he is out promoting E-15, does not mean he believes in it, he is getting paid to promote it.

haha....me too Bob. You'd really enjoy the film made by Josh and Rebecca Tickell. It's a great pro ethanol documentary called The Freedom Film. You can go to their website...thefreedomfilm.com and order a copy!

Actually, you just need to be a good politician, and we know how well politicians can lie when they know they will benefit from it...

My opinion is that he believes in it whole heartedly. I have seen him speak. It's purely speculation as to his intentions. There's no way to know. But from what I've seen....I think that he sincerely believes in it. He was a 4 star general. You have to have some serious conviction to achieve that.
I'm going out on a limb here....but he has achieved much more them the average person posting on this site...including myself.

Mr Clark has had his controversies in his civilian life. We all make mistakes. But his military experience hardly qualifies him to be an expert on ethanol. Just ask McCain.

Why would anyone wanted to pay you? You are doing pretty good job as the Big Oil shill for free.

Of course, If they paid me what they pay the good general to say good things about ethanol, I might be tempted to become a spokesman...

But then my good sense would kick in...

"The fuel industry has always been competitive," Clark said, "and ethanol has always been superior to gasoline, but we need the opportunity to compete.

Retired Gen. Wesley Clark goes to battle for ethanol

This article is kind of dated, isn't it? After all it was written in July of 2009...

Reb4...I am aware of that. He chose to endorse it though. He believes in it. I watched him speak in a documentary.
