Cheaper gas may be a red flag for some; a checkered flag for others. Either way oil is not the reason our economy sucks.

I don't believe in silver linings -- they don't pay bills!

"I had a hand amputated. Now I save 50% on glove purchases! Yippee!!!"
Silver lining? Hardly!
You know you would be much better off if the economy was so darn red hot that gasoline was $5.50 a gallon--you could go out and buy that nice 54.5 mpg car right now, likely by just writing a check. THAT would offset the cost better than driving a guzzler and dreaming of the old days at $1.00 a gallon.
Quite often people don't think the important things through...

The increase in gas prices had reduced the amount of our economic recovery. Now, the decrease in gas prices is reducing the effects of our economic slowdown.

We are in the $3.50 range. I would like to see prices below $2.00, yes I'm dreaming.

Higher demand because of an economy on the rebound would be much better news.

Only when gas is less than $2 a gallon nationwide average - have prices gone down much.
