tomok, you hit the nail on the head. Why are WE THE PEOPLE taking it on the chin while Barack Hussein gives a pass to Big Oil? Anything to fund his out-of-control spending spree while throwing the American people under the proverbial bus.
Sooo, how's that "Hope" and "Change" going for 'ya?

Crude oil inventories increased, Gasoline inventories decreased, Distillate inventories decreased, Refinery utilization slipped (East Coast refinery utilization: 58.4%, higher fuel prices), Total US oil stocks up. Big oil selling fuel and natural gas on the world market for higher prices, there will be NO price reduction for the cost of fuel or natural gas IN the US. Barry will support natural gas and oil production for sale on the world market to pay for his ‘spending gone wild’ addiction. The US ‘oil and natural gas resources’ belong to the citizens of this country and are to be used by those same citizens! Speculators, manipulators and the banks continue to unfairly and unjustly make the driving public pay higher prices at the pump for their benefit. Whatever the size or shape of the vehicle, Produce and ‘Drive’ vehicles with high MPG, are very reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money. Consider using other forms of less expensive transportation to lower your cost, if possible. The price of fuel at the pump is too high! 12/22/2012!

http://www.opensecrets.org/orgs/summary.php?id=D000000085 And that linnk puts to bed OGW's theory about Washington not being at fault. Poor Speculators? Goldman Sachs ALONE so far this year they have spent $4.35 million dollars on lobbying...Goldman Sachs mind you buys and sells millions of barrels of oil a day...and wouldnt you know it? $65K to one B. Obama in the Democratic party...only trumped by M. Romney who received $517K. But dont feel bad for old O...just look at how much he has received in the past 4 years. Good question that rises from this, why give to both parties? Better answer, because no matter whether Mitt or Barack wins, they already have both of their undivided attentions. Nothing worse than a corrupted public servant, because they arent listening to the public

I can use these numbers to help drive up the price of gas..... Lets speculate a little. Gas inventory down crude inventories up SO lets buy it up and sell it at a higher price...Remember we do not have to actualy take possesion of the crude. The refineries will have to buy our higher priced crude to produce and replenish their lower gas inventories.... Sounds like speculator news to me.....

OGW, you might be right, but your not. Because from the looks of your bias you are a supporter of the biggest liar ever to grace the white house. He was the 5th largest recipient of direct campaign contributions from ExxonMobil. So you believe he is really trying to fight the big oil companies for the average american? You usually dont accept anything, especially large sums of money from people, organizations or companies you are fighting

Today, for the first time in history local gas prices breeched the 4 dollar barrier here in the U.P. of Michigan. It looks like I will not be driving my vehicle much as my budget cannot withstand the wanton thievery off the Global Oil Cartel and all of their enablers such as the Billionaire Koch brothers.

I suppose it would take a 10 million barrel increase to have an affect on gas prices.
The U.S. has plenty of crude, gas, and natural gas. Demand hasn't been this low since 1997, yet prices are at record highs.

http://www.opensecrets.org/orgs/recips.php?cycle=2012&id=D000000129 Just a liitle info about the dispersment of $765,000 that went directly from the oil company ExxonMobil to Federal Candidates. NOT including BP, TexacoShell, Chevron etc.,. also does not include the millions in lobbying they do every year. Wining and Dining costs money...;-)

The problem today is mainly because of Wall Street and those poor speculators not Washington. The problem in Washington is that they have not yet dismantled the changes that Bush and Cheney inacted that allows Wall Street and their big Oil brothers do whatever they want with oil and gas futures. If there is any great error made by Obama, from the mess left by the Bush government,it is that he did not have Bush and Cheney charged with fraud and theft from the American people. They both should be doing hard time in prison. If all was right, fuel prices would be much lower.

That is business and politics for you.
A number of politicians and supporters gave the idea to drill and drill for more oil That has been done. They did said little involving what was going to be done to the oil after it had been drilled! A lot of people fell for the idea that it would only be limited sales in the US. That is sure not the case!! The oil which had been drilled belongs to the oil companies. The will decide where and who will get it. That also includes other nations.
It is both good and bad for the US. The bad part is that the price of gas will not be going down, as what a lot of people had thought. The good part is that the US gains a more attention for world marketers and that means more competition for other nations like China.

The weekly rub in America's face...this should be read as follows..."Good day complainers! In case you haven't heard we are swimming in oil and gasoline. The government won’t allow for the laws of supply and demand to take over because if they do we can no longer pump money into everyone's campaign fund, Democrats and Republicans alike! But none of that matters because Americans are more concerned with how the latest 70" 3D HDTV will look on their wall, and preoccupied with how rich women with no jobs live in Miami and Beverly Hills and spellbound with the antics of 8 Italian-American in their 20's living near the beach in New Jersey. Americans know more about Lindsay Lohan and Kim Kardashian than they do about any Supreme Court Justice. So never mind that day in November when you should go stand in a booth for 5 minutes and push some levers with names next to them because chances are they are all corrupted anyway. That will just take away from what is really important...a bunch of people on TV trying to sing songs already performed by someone else in a feeble attempt to get "discovered". But PLEASE just keep complaining about things like gas prices, food prices, the job market and the tyrants that run a country on the other side of the planet...just don't DO anything about the tyrants that are stealing from your paychecks and ruining your country." To lxkrb--You need to reread the article more closely!! The quote was "If refiners in your region have low output, your most likely to see prices rise!" Figure it out, we in the Midwest are just the opposite of what he said!! We have the highest utilization at 94% which should lead to lower prices at the pump!!!Demand will not go up with these outrageous prices!!

it's the cost per barrell..
drill here lower the price per barrellIf you pay the farmer $50 for a bushell of apples the apples still have a per price attatched. does not matter how many bushells you have
until they are going to spoil
gas does not spoil quickly

To bigoilscamus - High refinery utilization does not lead to lower prices, it can lead to higher prices, because their capacity to increase production is limited if demand goes up

To susan and others - For about the tenth time it is not oil they are exporting it is gasoline and diesel The refineries have excess capacity due to decrease in demand in the US over the last year or so They export the excess gas and diesel for which there is no market in the US With gasoline inventories up 3.1 million barrels over last year they are not exporting gas which they could be selling in the US Exports are GOOD for the US economy offsets the crap we import from china If they did not export the excess capacity they would have to idle refineries and lay off employees (not good) Some of you just want to hate oil companies and big corporations just for the hell of it, you do not even know what you are talking about Corporation hire employees and pay them wages which the employees then spend at other businesses, that's how the economy works
