The Bulls have decided to fire head coach Vinny Del Negro, but they are still looking for a replacement, sources told ESPN The Magazine's Chris Broussard.
The sources say that Chicago's lack of a decision on a replacement is the main thing that is keeping Del Negro employed.

I was really hoping that Allen Iverson would've landed to the Toronto Raptors!
The Raptors didn't make any significant moves this offseason! Hedo isn't going to help the team that much! Allen Iverson would've!

Memphis signs Iverson. Another team subjecting itself to the Allen Iverson poison just to sell some tickets.

Quentin Richardson Traded Again
The NBA’s version of a hot potato is on the move once more: “The Timberwolves late Thursday night traded newly acquired Quentin Richardson to Miami and brought back former Wolves center Mark Blount in another David Kahn move that has everything to do with salary-cap bookkeeping and cost-saving and nothing to do with this season’s roster…This time, he brings back Blount’s expiring $7.96 million salary slot in exchange for Richardson’s $9.35 million expiring contract.”

Okafor for Chandler complete
I think New Orleans got the better end of this deal as Okafor is a solid, well-rounded player. Charlotte is taking a chance on Chandler.

If I am not mistaken, I think Ariza is at Houston now.

Has Ariza really signed with anyone? I may have missed it.

Iverson will probably go to some middle-of-the-pack team - one that doesn't have too many youngsters, but also one that isn't contending for a championship. Iverson seems to disrupt chemistry.

I can't see any contending team signing AI. He is to much of a "me" player, and most contenders don't need that.

Rumors have AI thinking about the Clippers. Don't do this to us, please. Send him to ruin some other team--Celtics or Cavs, OK.

If the Lakers are building for the future--Ariza. If they want to finish up Phil's contract with a win next season--Artest. From what I see I can guess where their aims lie.

Yah, I'm not a big Ariza fan either. Not sure why the Rockets would really want him.

Zach is not exactly a great personality and he spends much time 'injured' but he scores when he gets into a game. Hope he can do well in Memphis. Richardson we've seen before and was lacking if what I hear was correct, even for the Clippers.

Lakers will be much better with Artest in and Ariza out. I don't quite understand why people think so highly of Ariza when all he really has going for him is athletic ability. He doesn't deserve more than a couple million a year in my opinion. Artest, on the other hand, needs no explanation why he's better. Lakers will be tough next season.

Not sure I like the chemistry with Artest and letting Ariz sign with the Rockets. Lakers will be a different team next year. I hope Artest does not implode.

Grizzles spend a couple of years trying to get under the cap, and then they fill it with Randolph???

Artest to Lakers for three years.
Trevor Ariza will not be offered more than mid-level by Lakers? To Cavaliers?

Zach Randolph to the Grizzlies for Quentain Richardson. Clippers get taken again. Zach is nobody's little angel but he can score. Richardson is a benchwarmer.

"Wolves got Rubio and he is acting like Eli Manning did when drafted #1 by San Diego, throwing a tantrum and threatening to go back to Spain unless he plays where he wants."
Minnesota already has Jonny Flynn. They should give what Ricky Rubio wants and let him play elsewhere. I hear New York is interested, so why not cut a deal with them? Give the fans (heck, even the players) what they want - to see Rubio in the NBA. It would be such a tease to see him return to Europe.

Wolves GM is saying they would be OK with Rubio playing in Spain for a couple years, but who knows. They need something to draw fans and a 20 win or less season isn't going to do it.

I don't know about Rubio ... not buying into the hype just yet. I think the T-wolves did a good job if they are going to move him. Johnny Flynn seems to be the guy they want. Rubio may stay in Spain or D'Antoni wants him. 3 way deal Rubio to the Knicks Jordan Hill to Memphis and Hasheem Thabeet to Minnesota ?

Vince Carter traded to hometown Magic
The New Jersey Nets have traded Vince Carter and Ryan Anderson to the Orlando Magic for Rafer Alston, Tony Battie and Courtney Lee.
"Vince [Carter] gives us a veteran, go-to scoring presence, especially at the end of games," Magic general manager Otis Smith said in a statement. "Our goal remains the same -- to win a championship. Any time you can add an All-Star to help you reach your goals, you have to do it. Vince has been a bonafide scorer in this league for 11 seasons and we are excited to add both him and Ryan [Anderson] to our team. We thank Rafer, Tony and Courtney for their efforts and wish them success in the future."

I'm really hoping the T-Wolves can send two of their #1's and move up to get Rubio. If they can't then yesterday's trade seems like a bit of a waste.
