Any suggestions for things to do and see in Key Largo? What about where to stay?

Will be going during the spring of 2008.

John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park.

If time permits spend a day in the Everglades National Park prior to going down into the Keys.

Thanks for the info jimgraham - we'll check out the places further on down for somewhere to stay. The boardwalks you talked about sound like just what we want to do, and whenever we stay in Florida, the seafood is the best!

Don't stop at Key Largo. Just keep going. We stay at a small hotel near Matecumbe on the "old highway".
There are some wonderful State and National Parks to visit. Boardwalks that wander through the manatee habitats, coral reefs, seagrass beds and mangrove swamps. All of this right under your feet!!!

Restaurants offer very fresh seafood, (conch is one of my favorites).

I really do not care for most of Florida. Daytona, Flagler Beach, the "Gold Coast" area and St. Petersburg are all very enjoyable. But the keys are THE BEST. You will have a lot of fun there.
