What model Geo is it?
My wife's got a 2000 auto 1.3 liter lsi sedan that gets 25-35 mpg around town (alot more around 28-30, however) and my 93 metro 5 spd 3 cyl gets 50mpg around town or hwy.
My metro I drive as fast as I like, my wifes I try to keep it under 40 mph for better mileage.

my daughter has a metro lsi with a stick shift and its perfect for her to get to a fro in. she had a lifter go bad on a trip recently and we didnt take care of it right away. then it broke the rocker arm and scratched the camshaft. i replaced it easy enough though. but if it starts ticking on those 1996 4 cylinder engines, better replace the lifters quick. easy to do. they are 78 dollars a piece from GM dealers, and 15 bucks from parts stores, go figure.
good car though, she likes it and i like it

I gotta tell you, they might not look "pretty", but they get great gas mileage. I found a 1994 Metro a few weeks ago. Has some rust, some dents, but for $500, it was a bargain to get me to and fro the train station.
