Sneakers, I have to disagree on ease of use. I bought my daughter a MacPro before her third birthday. She took to it like a duck to water. She still has that Mac in her room but about 4 years ago she talked me into a MacBook 13". This kid is now nine and uses her Mac like a pro. We took a few of the Genius Classes at the Apple Store and she was BORED. She said that people were slowing the class down because they couldn't do simple things.

Her MacBook is dual boot, Windows 7 and OS-X Lion but she says booting in Windows dumbs the machine down. You are right on the malware. She's never got a virus, yet.

I don't think they're much easier to use than Windows, but then MacOS is highly resistant to malware.

tmoy88, put your computer into a large zip lock bag with a cupful of rice. Saved my daughter's 13" Macbook once several years ago. It took a couple of days.

I loved mine too, until a minor water spill turned it into a silver paperweight last week.

Hoping the new line of MBP is as good as the rumors say. Anyone know when it might be coming? I'm hearing late March/early April.

How 'bout a retina display on the next-gen MBPs?

If you want "nice" get the 27" display to go with it. Or an iMac 27" (whichever floats your boat).
