We had planned a day trip to WI on Sunday for the christening of a niece & nephew (i often wonder how my life would be if my daughter and son had lived to maturaty). Anyway, we decided not to travel because of the freezing rain. Folks in WI said travel conditions there were expected to get worse. We settled for e-mailed photos. Like many other women, Clear Ohhh'd and Ahhh'd about the pictures, then we used the rest of the day for some quality touch-time. Family spats brought for mediation(s) are less this winter than in previous years. So, while Clear's working, i'll have more research time for my blogs. I've stopped posting gas prices because there are now at least three other TCGP users posting for stations that i previously had been the only poster. Still going to quit GB/TCGP as soon as i've used up all my points for gas card drawing(s). BTW..., the new avatar is a saying i saw on someone's t-shirt o/a 1980 at UofMN's St. Paul campus.

New avitar is from down at the local park (Logan Park in NE Minneapolis). It (trees/picnic table) represents spring, summer, fall, and the empty table means that the picnic is over (winter's coming!). TWIMC.... Thanks for the Buddy Requests, but not doing Buddyups; I don't have spare time to do justice for current Buddies (barely have time to max daily GB points; haven't even used points for gas card drawing). Family mediations, server sitting, church & daily meditation, and touching time with significant other are my major, over-riding concerns at this time. My sixth GB year almost complete, but i've only been in town for TCGP for about four years because family stuff and other social aspects of my life having priority for the time i have left. Being retired, i either have too much time or not enough time (depending on who's commenting). Too busy to continue GB; will try to make it to the six year mark. Hope the coming holidays are good for you. :)

A quick/belated WB catchup. I may finally be able to participate alittle in GB forums instead of lurking. Finally caught up with family mediator/moderator load (research/decisions/appeals). However, based on prior years experiences, i'm not looking forward to this duty this fall. I'm going to have to get a cell phone so I can take calls when I'm out walking or out doing errands. That way I shouildn't have so many voice-messages stacked up on my phone's land line. BTW, TCGP family members: in case you missed the regional emails all family servers now carry family-wide GB blogs. Please check there and not here for local family GB stuff (be sure to check your VPN settings).

Driver and i pulled in from MT 2July and unloaded my MT storage stuff for PU by various relatives. Got request for GT in WI. Left for WI 4July with fBF driving (i don't own a vehicle anymore (& my former PU is deadlined)). We got back to TC metro last Saturday. The people at the GT liked fBF quite abit; it must have been obvious to them that we like each other more than alittle, because we took alot of kidding from the family(s) about getting married (that's the furthest thing from both our minds at this time!). We'll discuss getting a place together at our next lunch date. I've been drafted to be a family mediator again, so i'll be staying in the TC metro until next year (i wouldn't commit as mediator for more than a year this time). I'll be very busy getting current on family stuff (and research, meetings, etc.) for several weeks. All that upcoming work will make GB/TCGP a low priority--again. C'est la vie {shrug}.

i'm leaving TCGP for a trip to MT to get some stuff out of storage. will be gone minimum 2 weeks. may be gone longer depending on the situation in MT compared to the situation here in the TC metro area. If this msg. is still here at the end of June 2012 then i decided to stay in MT (or maybe ID)--at least over the summer. Please, live long and prosper. Aloha.

damn! just got a bunch of post scans blocked by my security. they're probably from GB advertisers (wouldn't be the first and probably won't be the last). could be from Chinese crackers also.

Still NOT doing GB Buddy ups.... It's a strange year--so far. The reason I got invited to a wedding in Canada (earlier WB post) is because the bride is a distant, French-Canadian relative that I'd never met, but I've emailed with her father for over ten years. Now I know why my invitation was informal, and bell_'s former companion Clear got a formal invitation. Got re-aquinted with a friend of a friend a few weeks ago. Hadn't seen her around much this year. We've had some after work lunch GTs. She’s smart, up front, relaxed, and not intimided by seniors. We're acquainted enough to ask/answer straight out questiions. My blogs, family websites, and workouts are using more of my time now; I've dropped most of my volunteer work. I've decided to leave Minneapolis when the overnight low temperature is somewhat warmer. :)
