Darn jeepster, I was just looking at what you wrote about having a Dart. My first car after I got out of the Army was a 1960 Phoenix Dodge Dart with 4 on the floor, 383 Hemi, 2 4 barrels, cheaters Slicks & lakers. In the early 70's Dodge came out with a Demon Dart that you could get with a 314 or 340 engine. The 340 was quick.

Jeepster4, do you own a Jeep? What year? Are you interested in boosting the gas mileage on it in the city and especially on the highway! Let me know!

We had better not let that happen. We need to reinvigorate the left (who we know are right).

OMG I feel so embarrased, it is "Sodahead.com - NOT SNOThead. ;-)

I hope you don't mind, but I copied most of ur post to include in mine that I just posted on the snothead website. If you want to read it, the link is, Vhttp://www.sodahead.com/united-states/awful-dnc-trying-to-make-money-off-of-tragedy-that-killed-11-americans/blog-313933/#post_7825447. Thanks James

we built a '63 Chrysler with a 413, push button auto with cross ram intake and two AFB's. Got into the high 12's in a 4400 lb car.. We were famous around lex for our 6 cyl Darts with holley 4bbls., too

I think he got it to begin with for about $800.00 in 1970 or 71.

My friends did study Mopar at lot, Thank God! Man, those were some awsome cars to drive, but to repair was another story. The hunting about killed us. One of my friends went searching one day and came across a perfect intact original '57 Chrysler 300! It did take about a week to get it running. All 392 cid I believe. Unreal car until some jerks got on the farm one night and destroyed it with a sledge hammer. Jealousy.

jeep, I have had a multitude of Mopars that I loved. My neice still has an '85 Daytona turbo in the driveway, but she drives my Jeep GC mostly. My favs were the Alfas I rebuilt and restored though back in the '70's. I did have to give that up out of frustration. They were '60's Alfas. I now drive an sts myself, for now....

jeepster I made my dad take me down to the Ford dealer to see the first Cobra back in '63 or '64 - memory is fuzzy on the year but I remember the British Racing Green Cobra!
