Decreases in inventories across the board, says EIA

GasBuddy Blog -- The Energy Information Administration released its weekly report on the status of petroleum inventories in the United States today.

Here are some highlights:

CRUDE INVENTORIES:
Crude oil inventories decreased by 4.4 million barrels to a total of 355.6 million barrels. At 355.6 million barrels, inventories are 12.0 million barrels below last year (-3.3%) and are near the middle of the average range.

GASOLINE INVENTORIES:
Gasoline inventories decreased by 1.6 million barrels to 216.0 million barrels. At 216.0 million barrels, inventories are up 19.7 million barrels, or 10.0% higher than one year ago. Here's how individual regions and their gasoline inventory fared last week: East Coast (-0.7mb); Midwest...

the usual blah blah... seems there is absolutely no correlation between pump prices and the inventories.

To those complaining about exports, they HAVE to increase, the only alternative is to shut refineries down, as we cannot indefinitely store gas and diesel.
