When the oil companies see more products overseas than in the US, what do you expect? The biggest export in 2011 was distilled petroleum!

Other than finding out what states produce the most oil per month, this article makes NO sense at all and provides no useful information that hasn't been written about every day somewhere by someone. So what is it to prove??

Demand has increased more than production. It's supply vs demand. This article sounds like Nobama rhetoric.

How much of that oil supplies the domestic market? How much is sold on the global market?
There's a lot more to gas prices than domestic production. I appreciate the work GasBuddy analysts do in getting the info out to the public.

That's a good start. Now if we had ANWR and most coastal waters opened up, combined with relative drop in demand, and throw in approving the Keystone XL pipeline from Canada, we might actually have energy independence from unreliable and potentially hostile foreign sources of crude oil.
President Obama, opportunity is knocking. Will you open the door?

Great, so we're drilling, but still getting shafted at the pump with all the fuel exports.

stop exporting the gas & maybe then the price at the pump would drop.
Naturally, the company is going for the larger profit at the expense of their fellow Amricans!!!

Oil under government lands will still be there for the future. Not every barrel needs to be pumped today.

There are over 30% more SUVs and other "light duty" trucks on the road today than there were in 1998 -- all gas guzzlers. We will never see low gas prices again until we make major modifications to what we choose to drive.

The only oil production we have had under Obama has been on private land. He has not given out one permit on Federal land that all other presidents have done.

The only reason is because of new technologies (e.g. FRACKING!!!) have allowed us to get oil we couldn't get effectively 15 years ago. The biggest part of this statistic is that production is up substantially on PRIVATE LANDS - Sorry, Obozo, it ain't because of you.

OK, so we are not going to run out of gasoline anytime soon. We just have to allocate more of our hard earned money to get around in our automobiles.

What is not mentioned is almost all of the increase is on private land. The Federal land is still off limits per Mr Obama.
