Improbable diplomacy eases fuel prices

GasBuddy Blog -- When Russia’s Vladimir Putin offered a solution last week to the Syria crisis, suggesting that Bashar al-Assad’s chemical weapons arsenal could be turned over to international control, Iran and China, Great Britain and France immediately backed the 11th hour deal and President Obama’s speechwriters undoubtedly scrambled to rework the speech he had scheduled for Sept. 10.

It was that quick. An imminent U.S. missile assault on Syria –with or without Congressional approval-- was averted. And just as quickly, the Dow Jones gained 100 points and Brent and WTI crude prices dropped shortly after commodities trading opened the following morning.

Didn't Obama promise to end the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan? Now he's trying to start a new one. Look what it did to our gas prices. Don't be an isolationist, but look for other ways than a military strike. P.S. Russia has always been on Syria's side.

Hopefully prices will fall. Only seen a cent or two here so far. And that's not at most stations. One station went down 10 cents on the cash price which is eliminated when you pay with credit.

Yeah, I read this yesterday.

How about something new.

What this story says is that Russia isn't the war monger that the US government led us to believe.

Actually, with the US wanting to bomb Syria, and every other country at the drop of the hat, it appears that it is the other way around, it is the US government that has the war-monger mentality.
