U.S. gasoline prices continue to gently fall, note for diesel consumers

GasBuddy Blog -- High gasoline prices have clearly taken their toll on American and Canadian motorists in the last few months. How fitting that I finally can deliver two weeks of good news, especially in the month of April (yes, I'm squeezing this post in today so I can make use of that), when gasoline prices have historically continued to climb! However, climbing gasoline prices are not today's story, but rather falling prices- and they continue in North American markets.

The national average took another nice drop in the last seven days, falling 4 cents per gallon in the U.S. and 3c/L for our Canadian friends. I even managed to see a price of $3.28 in Tulsa, Oklahoma this morning at two Sam's Club locations there- a pretty reasonable price given...

Prices feather down but jump dramatically. Tends to favor the suppliers.

Still pretty much unified here even as the average price falls.

More interesting is that gas wars have started sprouting up. Last week it was a couple of "usual suspects" (gas stations that typically have lower than average prices) taking things to an extreme, this week it's a couple of stations in a place one doesn't usually think of as a gas buyer's paradise.

Seems a pattern has been broken recently, will be interesting to see what happens with Gas Prices this summer.

Gas has gone up at some stations & down at others.......... makes no sense?
Diesel is still $4.17 at the cheapest station out here in the desert of So. Calif. Most all the truck stops here have the highest cost for diesel so I don't use them to fill my diesel Jetta.

23j: glad to see diesel is falling somewhere. It's still 4.10 here, down a mere 10 cents while gasoline fell from 395 to 369 in the same span.

Funny this is gasbuddy blog but on this site for Toronto Apr. 26 was 1.306 & now 1.321 and Canada avg Apr. 26 shows around 1.30 & now 1.30x -so at best its flat. So what source is this using for '3c/L for Cdn friends' - obviously not their prices!!!
