Wyoming oil refineries lead the nation in safety violations

GasBuddy Blog -- You can always quibble over the notion that some so-called safety violations may not be as serious as others, but when your state leads the U.S.A. in refinery safety violations and you're not Texas, something is very wrong.

this data is meaningful only if the same inspectors are looking at all the refineries in the US at the same frequency.

So who owns the Evansville, (Casper) refinery? The Sinclair Oil refinery near Rawlins is owned by the Holdings from Salt Lake City that also own Little America, Grand Hotel, and Sun Basin Ski area facilities.

Wow, even after reading this for three days, they still are leading the country in violations. You would have thought they would have learned by now.

Good thing Wyoming doesn't have many 'needless government regulations' the Republicans are always crying about.

Hmm, fines must be programmed into annual budget as a cost to operate. OSHA does have a financial and legal bite...now if they would just stop growling and chew a pound of the behind....lack of training is willful neglect. Everyone is ignorant of something...Ignorance can be educated away---stupidity is Darwinian-terminal

What's to worry about? Hardly anybody lives in that state. If one of the refineries burns down, no biggie. Let 'em alone.
