no, they are nice, but usually useless, and a nightmare to maintain if you live on a dirt road.

Yes, most cars today are not designed to see what's behind, when backing up. Once you have one, you won't want to give it up. I'm sure most replies to the negative, are from people that have never used one.

No thank you...I'm so used to using the real way that when I was in a vehicle with the camera, it felt uncomfortable for me to be looking at the screen instead of my mirrors.

NO, accessory maybe, but not madatory! Where does the control stop? I use my eyes and my mirrors and they have worked just fine for 47 years and still can back my straight drive honda perfectly into a parking place.

Ever try backing up, you clear the rear of your vehicle. Since you turned your head to check, you now turn around, put it in gear, when all of a sudden some one is directly in front of you, as you ease off the brake with a foot nod towards the accelerator... YES IT WOULD HELP...

Maybe not mandatory but for those manufactures that are serious about safety, I think cameras should be standard.

Absolutely not!! People should always have the option of what they want on their car. It is a useful TOOL, but people don't use it that way. You have a much wider view of what is coming by simply turning your head. It is the old tried and true method, has been around for years, and will always work.

No. Drivers should have the option to install a backup camera. I feel safe doing it the old fashion way of turning my head to see behind my car. Drivers have become to lazy to even turn their head to look out when changing lanes, using side mirrors, and the rearview mirror.
