The people who do usually wait until the last minute and then they need gas really bad and are forced to wait, or just pay what the nearest gas station is charging.

I went back around midnight thinking there would be no line...but they were slap out of gas. So I ended up paying about 2 cents more a gallon somewhere else. I'll be darned if I will wait in a line like that....those very people in that line are the ones creating the artificial gas shortage here in Alpharetta GA [Edited by: desparado367 at 9/24/2008 12:37:34 PM EST]

If I'm next in line, I"ll usually wait. but if there are several cars waiting and I can't pull into a pump backwards (why are so many gas caps on the drivers side - are we all that lazy???), then I'll go to the next station. They are all usually within 3-5 cents of each other. That 30-50 cents i save isn't worth burning it up while waiting.
