2013 Dodge Dart: Motoramic Drives

Yahoo! Autos -- "You don't need to put on your sunglasses and hide because you're embarrassed about your ride," the Chrysler flack was saying as we sat in a dim chamber at the W Hotel in Austin, a velvet-tinged barroom which, eight hours earlier, had played host to several vulgar birthday parties for cologne-slathered men in off-brand golf shirts. "The Dodge Dart is a vehicle you can be proud of."

After years of incompetence and humiliation with the much-derided Dodge Neon and other models, Chrysler is desperate to reclaim its rightful share of the compact-car market. Enter the Dart. A dependable early compact, the Dart enjoyed a nice run from 1960 to 1976.

Another nice looking dodge that will have poor engineering and worse quality control.
Any other brand builds better cars.

Chrysler may be "dependable" in the '60s & '70s, but that was then. How people define cars being "dependable" was different back then. If the thing doesn't break down once a month, it was "dependable"!

My first new car was a 1973 Dart (lime green with a racing stripe). Paid $3,000 for it. No I would not own another but it was a fun ride back in the day.

Pass.

Never had a Chrysler product (owned 4) that was all that reliable. And, I'm not too excited about Fiat.

I'll stick with Ford.

The Dodge Dart's design is based on an Alfa Romeo, nothing same as the old car except for the name.
