Eagle Ford Crude Oil Production Reaches Record High in February

Bloomberg -- Oil production in Texas’s Eagle Ford shale formation reached an all-time high in February as it climbed 74 percent compared with a year earlier.
The nine geographic fields that make up the majority of Eagle Ford yielded 471,258 barrels of crude a day in February, according to preliminary data released by the Texas Railroad Commission, which oversees oil and gas drilling in the state. In February 2012, the fields produced 271,521 barrels daily.
Commission production totals typically increase in subsequent months as the state receives revised, corrected or late reports. January output was revised to 462,160 barrels a day from the preliminary report of 373,303.
Production of condensates, or natural gas liquids, was 89,217 barrels a day in February, down from 117,789 a year earlier, as drill..

with the usual 3 months lag between pricing (sale) of crude and the pricing at the pump, does that mean we will see a LOWER price at the pump in the summer? That would definitely buck the traditional trend of high summer prices. Well, I won't hold my breath lol.

Eagle Ford Crude Oil Production Reaches Record High in February. The more crude oil produced, more Big Oil profits are available. How long will this current US oil reserve last when Crude Oil Production Reaches Record High?
Take care of the domestic fuel market first and above all else before exporting and selling fuel or natural gas to other countries!
Drive vehicles with high MPG, are very safe, reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money.
The price of fuel at the pump is too high!

Sometimes, I worry about the longevity of these new found fields. They are shallow and cost more to produce than those older "conventional" fields that are themselves drying up as well.

Are we merely accelerating the speed to peak oil?

assuming we can CONSUME that much oil as it comes out of the ground... LOOK at how much oil we consume!
I can't even do 462K things in a day, which includes heartbeats... no really count them. 104,000 a day. Add breaths and blinks and it jumps to an astounding 112K. The republic of jamezilla can't ever in a lifetime produce more than 400K barrels of any combinations of fluids in a 60-75 year lifespan.

Drill baby, drill! We have to do it on private and state land because Obama has obstructed drilling on federal land and water since he took office.

They want us to believe we can be independent on our own oil. Maybe with reduction in use it can happens for now. More are switching to natural gas.

So they are moving away from less profitable gas, probably still flaring it off as a waste product. We could be using natural gas for transportation, but that would be bad for the oil and gasoline industry. Seems our government won't make a move in that direction, but hold us hostage to mandates that are profitable for the refining business to use ethanol.
