rumble, we know there isn't shortage, it's a shortage of care. Selling millions of tons of food grown in the US to places like China and India does create food shortage in the US and leaves many people hungry (as they are below the poverty line to start with - quite a disgrace for the world's leading country).

"using food products to make fuel when there are so many going hungry in this country is just totally mind-boggling."
That anybody believes there is a shortage of food in the US is mind-boggling.

Burning our food supply is beyond ignorant, it's INSANE. Ethanol in our gasoline saves absolutely NOTHING. Reduced mileage & cost to produce far outweigh its use as a "substitute". When fully examined, ethanol as a fuel is just a feel good for the libtards & a profit center for the corn producers/ethanol industry.
Without millions of acres of sugarcane to process into ethanol or any other truly viable commercial cellulosic ethanol production, we will continue to suffer with mandated corn based ethanol. Higher prices for anything corn related along with the mandated mileage robbing E10 will continue, while the corn producers smile all the way to the bank.

An now the Obama Admin's EPA wants to go to E95 a much more caustic form of ethanol. It may be forced on the masses by 2014 unless Congress can buck the EPA mafia.

No Fuel from Food! No Ethanol, No government subsidies, No Taxpayer money! Whatever the size or shape of the vehicle, Produce and ‘Drive’ vehicles with high MPG, are very safe, reliable, has a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money. Consider using other forms of less expensive transportation to lower your cost. The price of fuel at the pump is too high! 12/22/2012!

not good when farmers are whining about the biggest drought in 20-30 years trying to jack up their costs for korn.when we all know they use water wells to water their crops in drought periods. i guess they are misdirectiing those federl bail out funds into the wrong places instead of sinking some wells on their land to maintian their crops.blah blah blah it's all to drive up their profits.

If we didn't export so much crude we wouldn't have to import so much either. And then we wouldn't have to burn ethanol because we are short on crude. What a mess we live in.
