With biofuels, solar, and wind there should be advances in technology to make them viable, or at least able to help meet energy demand... we can not sustain our energy requirements solely on coal and oil forever, so we must continue to explore and expand alternative efforts...

And the American people are who he has been crapping upon.
I have no problem with alternatives. BUT they must be started and sustained on their own. NOT subsidized or pushed by loans and tax breaks. You know, like every other business in a free country!

Ethanol is garbage, it reduces milage and destroys cars from the inside out. This article proves that simply throwing money at something won't make it work.
However, if wind and solar companies were required to survive on their own merit (instead of becoming dependent on taxpayer money) they would be more motivated to succeed.
