kkimes "Of course he would say that. What would you expect him to say? Doesn't mean its the truth." ============================================ What's not the truth? Are you saying Al never said this???
Or that the Supreme Court of the U.S. did not find that the EPA has acted unconstitutionally?
Wow, denial has a whole new meaning!

"And an author of a book on such behavior, Eco-Tyranny: How the Left’s Green Agenda will Dismantle America,” says it’s just too much."
Of course he would say that. What would you expect him to say? Doesn't mean its the truth.

apiergallini, "There's nothing illegal or unconstitutional with going after companies who break the law. If no law was broken, the case won't make it very far." ============== Well there's a load of bull feces.
In this case they had to go to the Supreme Court for crying out loud. And the EPA was found to be acting unconstitutionally.
The EPA issues nearly 3,000 administrative compliance orders a year that call on alleged violators of environmental laws to stop what they‘re doing and repair the harm they’ve caused. Major business groups, homebuilders, road builders and agricultural interests all joined the Sacketts (Idaho couple) in urging the court to make it easier to contest EPA compliance orders issued under several environmental laws.

You can deny it all you want apiergallini. Tyranny is an even better term!
Here are some thoughts from the Supreme Court:
Members of the Supreme Court criticized the EPA for heavy-handed enforcement of rules affecting homeowners after the government told an Idaho couple they can’t challenge an order declaring their future home site a “protected wetlands.”
Justice Antonin Scalia criticized the “high-handedness” of the environmental agency when dealing with private property, and Justice Samuel Alito described some of the EPA’s actions as “outrageous,“ arguing that most people would say ”this kind of thing can’t happen in the United States.”

@NHLiveFree
Nice to see the other side of this. Thanks!
@drpepperTX
If these events, tactics, etc., have been found unconstitutional, then there is no oppression, because the checks and balances worked properly.
Also, regarding the schools in Boston, I recall that buses were idling for two hours at times - in what world is that NOT excessive?
@Rich1430
There was no threat made, unless you think he meant it literally, that he was going to nail people to crosses. Short of that, it's a poor choice of words meaning that they were vigorously investigate and prosecute law breakers - i.e. criminals. Do you think criminals should go unpunished? Whether you think something should be a crime is another matter altogether.

My guess is that from now on evey lawyer challenging an EPA ruling will introduce Armendariz's statement as proof that EPA has a bias beyond enforcing the law.

NHLivefree, where has anyone vilified or called poor Al evil? Al IS a symptom of the plague that the EPA has become. He said those words, as part of the EPA, and he and the EPA are responsible for those words. So what does his bio page from his employer have anything to do with his statements, ON TAPE? Do you really expect the writer of Al's bio page to say Al's purpose at the EPA is to hunt down and crucify oil, gas and coal companies???
The EPA's tactics have been found unconstitutional in drying the Sacketts in Idaho due process for crying out loud. Obama is filing suit on individual states! Obama's moratorium on Gulf oil production was found unconstitutional as well. How long do you expect the hardworking people of this country to succumb to this oppression???

Region VI offices are in Dallas, TX. Here is a bio clip on this villified and "evil" person:
"Dr. Armendariz has brought a deep commitment to environmental issues to his work at EPA. He has made working with communities a priority across the Region, frequently engaging directly with those most vulnerable to harm from polluters. This was especially evident during the Agency's response to 2010's Gulf of Mexico oil spill, during which he worked tirelessly with area residents, local governments, and community groups. As he continues his tenure, he brings the same passion to the Region's work on air quality, wetlands protection, climate change and other environmental goals.
Prior to his appointment, he spent eight years as a professor in the Department of Environmental and Civil Engineering at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, where he received several faculty awards. For the past 15 years, Dr. Armendariz has worked in a variety of research and academic positions including, for a short time in 2002, in the Region 6 offices.
Before joining SMU, he was a chemical engineer with Radian Corporation in North Carolina. During and after college he worked as a research assistant at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Center for Global Change Science at its Atmospheric Chemistry Laboratory in Massachusetts.
Throughout his career, Dr. Armendariz has spent countless hours volunteering his time with several environmental groups and the Volunteer Center for North Texas. Through this work he has helped address a number of complex environmental and public health challenges, ranging from solid waste landfills to community and tribal priorities. Dr. Armendariz received his doctorate in Environmental Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s School of Public Health where he was also selected as a Royster Society Fellow. He holds an M.E. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Florida. Al is a chemical engineer by training, with an undergraduate degree from MIT.
Al is a third generation Texan, descended from Mexican and Mexican-American grandparents who settled in the border city of El Paso. Born and raised in El Paso, he graduated from Coronado High School in 1988. He has also lived in Houston, Albuquerque and New Orleans. Al currently lives in Dallas with his wife Cynthia, a public school teacher in Irving ISD, and two sons, Ferris and Simon."
Sounds more like BP and Big Oil spin on a very capable person. Of course the submitted piece happens to be from master political diatriber Joseph Farah and his blog web page WND! Farah was a good friend and collaborator with hate monger Rush Limbaugh until their falling out.

Inhofe is one of the biggest blowhards in politics. EPA should shut him down for his polluting society. He won't be happy until the US is completely owned by these mega corporations.

To those that think it's a hoax, think again. The administration wants higher gas prices and has policies in place to accomplish that by weakening the dollar and putting regulation in place to limit new exploration. The higher level of current drilling is a result of actions taken prior to the current administration. Every so often somebody blows the cover and actually mentions what the real goal just happens to be, get prices high enough to limit the burning of fossil fuels.

The EPA has a mandate. If it steps over its bounds, it should be punished just like the polluters.

I say crucify the minions of the Big O in the EPA, starting with the administrator who made the stupid "threat" or "promise". Then perhaps they will pay a little closer attention to the Constitution of the United States.
