Survey: U.S. gasoline prices drop 7 cents

CNN Money -- (CNN) -- The average price for a gallon of regular U.S. gasoline slipped almost 7 cents over the past two weeks, chasing a drop in crude oil prices, according to a nationwide survey published Sunday.

You were losing 750,000 jobs per month, and gas the first half of the year was no bargain. And the Friday night business news was the high point of the week, seeing which major bank the FDIC would declare insolvent.

It is up about a nickel since April 29 in Los Angeles and much of California. I would expect it to be higher by Memorial Day weekend.

By the way, the price of gas rose steadily and steeply from 2000 to 2008, then it dropped dramatically for a very short time because of the election year. Don't try to rewrite history and try to convince us that gas was cheap in 2007.
