Watch a Tesla Model S Get Shredded by the Jaws of Life

Wired -- There’s only one way to show first responders how to get occupants out of a Tesla Model S, and that’s ripping one apart.

The car’s electric drivetrain and massive battery pack means there’s more involved than grabbing a Sawzall and going to town. So Tesla put out a training video for fire crews and police showing how to safely dismantle the all-electric sedan. It’s a combination of pure engineering porn and gut-wrenching destruction.

If the Model S is your dream car, be prepared. The video above is not for the squeamish.

In This Economy and the severe lack of Jobs? I will drive my vehicle into the ground before buying anything new, used, EV, Inbred, Plug In, diesel, hydrogen, alternative fuel, CNG, concept and certainly NOT a GM, Ford, Chrysler, Fiat, Prius, 'Tesla,' Leaf, Volt, Peugeot or an NYC/Hurricane Sandy Special 'exploding submarine' Fiskar Karma Inbred! Drive vehicles with high MPG, are very safe, reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money. The price of fuel at the pump is too high!

Other electric vehicles have to same danger, have heard of two mechanics being kill trying to work on electric when they first came out without proper training.... I will never own one...
