"Does this mean they don't want any more federal money?"

==============================================================

What Federal money are you speaking about? The Federal government doesn't have any money of its own, but must first take it from us. We dutifully send our money to the Feds, then they keep some of it and send a little back with rules on how it must be spent.

That is tantamount to giving yourself a blood transfusion from one arm to the other and spilling some of it in the process. Those who posted arguments on "Federalism" have a clearer understanding about what is at issue here. The national government doesn't have a dog in this fight. This is a state issue (Wyoming) and the FED needs to butt out. The citizens of this sovereign state can decide what is best for themselves.

Government poor decision making, judgement, and overall management could only be superseded in their incompetence only by the multinational oil corporations.

It is OK to have an opinion, but we know the Fed will prevail over the states when the state is less restrictive than the Fed rule.

OK Just make sure the clean up "superfund" is funded by the residents of the State of Wyoming and that they waive their right to federal assistance when the disaster strikes (and that they pay for any harm that comes to residents of other states).

According to the US Constitution, the people are given the rights to pursue life, liberty, and happiness. The does not include regulations made up by the EPA regulators.

Wyoming executive testifies on fracking. What if fracking is a major problem? What then?
Better extraction methods developed to get fossil fuels out of the ground, in higher quantities and not harming the surface and underground waters with fracking operations. When the fracking is over and the company has moved on, the water is contaminated, then what?
We need have to have clean drinkable water and uncontaminated lakes and streams!
Frack On Garth? No Wayne!
Drive vehicles with high MPG, are very safe, reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money.
The price of fuel at the pump is too high!

In other words, Federal Government, keep your patronage hacks out of our local business. The state government is closer to the people and they can better reflect the attitudes of what they want.
